We know from science that our universe began to exist for two fundamental reasons:1) According to the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, we know that the universe is loosing energy, this proves that the universe indeed had a beginning – the universe cannot be operating forever – the scientific evidence contradicts that eternal universe view:Psalms 102:25, 26Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall WAX OLD like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:2) The universe is expanding, in 1929, Edwin Hubble confirmed this, and the scientific evidence shows that the universe expanded from a small region:Jeremiah 10;12He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath STRETCHED out the heavens by his discretion. With all that said, both the Bible and science tells us that the universe had a beginning, therefore it must have had a cause – just as a building requires an architect. This cause of the universe must be timeless, spaceless, matter-less, omnipotent and personal. Why? The universe is made up of time, space and matter, hence the cause must transcend or be independent of these traits. The cause must be omnipotent in order to create the universe and finally it must be personal. Why personal? Omnipotence requires an intelligence for direction in the act of creating. This intelligence is a trait completely restricted to personal beings. So, this cause is timeless, spaceless, matter-less, omnipotent and personal…God:Genesis 1:1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.The God of the Bible claims to be this very same Cause of the universe. But is this claim really true? All of the deities of the world religions make this claim as well and claim to have most of the 5 attributes of this Creator God like Allah, Shiva, Vishnu, Ahura Mazda, etc, however, none of them genuinely prove that they are timeless, except One – the God of the Bible.The God of the Bible actually tells us beforehand that He will prove that He is the true God and that His words, the Bible, is true by revealing events that will happen in the future before they do – this is called Bible prophecy. Logically, if this was the case, then wouldn’t those other gods would have used fulfilled prophecies as well as proof of this? God is timeless and cannot change His strategies to verify Himself – this theory is self-refuting!
